Euro 2008 Championship:

What a good game! Lotsa strong defense on both sides, broken really only once as Spain's Torres lifted his shot just over the goalie and defender, to put the ball in the back of the net. The final score, after 90' (plus stoppage time), was just 1-0.

Spain just outplayed and outran Germany. Germany had attempts, both early and late, to score, and it just didn't come together.

Except when ABC ran the "weather alert" bar across the bottom, I thoroughly enjoyed watching the game on my HD tv. When they ran it, the picture dropped from the sharp, HD 16:9 picture to a noticeably crappier picture in 4:3 format. Crappy! It was kinda hard to watch when they did that.

They did that for most of the last 20 minutes of the game. Bastids.

What a great final game!

WallE:
A group of us "adults" took my kids to see Wall-E on Saturday. That was a very funny, sweet, and cute movie. I really enjoyed.

Even better was the short Pixar movie that played right before it. Hilarious. Kids and adults were dying laughing. Ian was rolling and almost fell out of the chair, he was laughing so hard.

That was a great show, overall. Very good for kids. Not a lot of dialogue, if you need that to carry you through. A solid 4 out of 5, for me.

Storms:
A lot of thunder yesterday, during the day and then again at night. Not a huge problem, but killed any outdoors plans for the afternoon.

A pretty good weekend, lotsa fun and time with kids. I loves my kids. They are so much fun and so sweet. Yaay, my kids! lol
