Memories from the past: Starchaser
Friday, October 26, 2007
When I was 7, my Uncle Phil took me to see a 3D movie. Man, I remember it being awesome. The story was of a boy who receives a sword hilt with no blade and goes on a quest to find the magical blade that is supposed to be it's mate. That's actually about all I remember.
For a few years, I've been wondering what that movie was. I've searched IMDB and Google, but never hit the right mark. Finally, today, I hit the golden search phrase and found it: 3D movie lists (yeah, it's silly that I didn't think of it before). I was reading an article on Beowulf being in 3D and that got me to thinking what else has been in 3D, so I searched for 3D movie lists and hit big. I poked around and found the only animated 3D movie from 1985.
Starchaser: The Legend Of Orin came out in 1985.
I was so excited, I decided to post...about it...in my blog. Hmm, here we are then, all caught up.
I'm not sure I'm going to rewatch it, it may ruin the memory.
